Private Attorney Application

Court Security Express Access I.D. Badge

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.      Complete and sign the Application Form

 

2.      Attach a photocopy of your valid California Driver’s License or I.D. card

 

3.      Attach a photocopy of your valid California State Bar Card

 

4.      The Court requires that the photo be a Digital Portrait Photograph (JPEG format) submitted via e-mail to membership@montereycountybar.org.

 

5.      Fees: (Make checks payable to Monterey County Bar Association)
                   MCBA members - $35.00

                   Non-members - $50.00
                   Replacement Lost Badge - $50.00

 

6.      You may email your documents to membership@montereycountybar.org or by mail to:

                   Seaside, CA 93955
                   (Application must contain Attorney’s signature.)

 

7.     For questions or more information, please call the MBCA office at (831)582-5400.


                   

8.      Upon receipt of all required documents from the MCBA, the Court will process your application within 2 weeks          of receipt. The applicant attorney must personally sign the acknowledgment of receipt for ID Badge and pick up the badge in person.

 

NOTICE: The Court and the Sheriff reserve the unfettered discretion to terminate without notice the use of express access to any and all individuals. It is understood that the express access process is a pilot program that will be subject to evaluation by the Court and Sheriff. The Court and Sheriff will modify or abandon the express line access as deemed necessary to effectively meet court access security needs.
